Teachers and staff

This screen manages the staff who use Ampil — inviting them, setting whether they're a teacher, leader or admin, and assigning teachers to the classes they teach.

Inviting staff

Choose a subject, then invite a colleague by email as either a teacher or a leader. They receive an email with a link to set their password and sign in for the first time.

Roles

You can promote or demote existing staff between admin, leader and teacher. To protect the school's setup, Ampil won't let you remove the last remaining admin.

Assigning classes

Assign a teacher to a class set so it appears in their teaching tools, and unassign them when they no longer teach it. Remember that teacher access is subject-wide, so a teacher can see other classes in the subject even without an explicit assignment.

Removing staff

You can delete a staff account when someone leaves. Their historical actions remain attributed correctly in the data.
