Prior attainment
Record pupils' earlier endpoint scores to measure progress.
Prior attainment
Prior attainment is a pupil's earlier "endpoint" score — a starting point Ampil uses to judge progress and to inform ranking and grade estimates. This screen records those scores for a year group.
Checking coverage
Choose a year group to see the coverage ratio — the share of pupils who have an endpoint score against the total. This tells you at a glance how complete your prior-attainment data is.
Entering scores by hand
Pick the exam year and enter each pupil's score in the grid. Leave a cell blank where there's no score — blanks are simply omitted, not stored as zero. Save to record the batch.
Importing scores from a CSV
Drop a CSV to import scores in bulk. Ampil matches rows to pupils and validates them, then shows a preview of matched, off-roster and format-error rows. Review it, fix any problems, and commit to save everything in one transaction.
